"We’ve had a lovely time; the cottage is warm and well equipped. Perfect! The cycle ride from our doorstep along the roman road to Holkham is beautiful. The swimming pool is excellent too"
Ollie Bella & Caitlin – November 2008

Holiday Cottage North Norfolk Coast, Wells, Holkham, Holt, Burnham Market.A cottage holiday in North Norfolk is an ideal base for embracing the fabulous coastline that stretches for 43 miles and most of it is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Cranmer Country Cottages are close to Wells Next The Sea and ideally located for the North Norfolk Coast and anyone looking for a holiday cottage near Wells, Holkham, Burnham Market and Brancaster further along the coast . The unspoilt beaches are a haven for nature lovers and young families at any time of year. The Burnhams are within easy reach, Burnham Thorpe is famously known as Nelsons birthplace and Burnham Overy Staithe is where he learned to sail. Burnham Market by contrast is better known for its sophisticated mix of individual shops and places to eat, and is often referred to as Chelsea by Sea.  The holiday cottages are within easy reach of Holt and Blakeney with their antique shops and art galleries. A short journey to the west takes you to the sandy beach at Brancaster and the National Trust Millenium Activity centre. Further on you reach Old Hunstanton and the royal retreat at Sandringham.  To the east there is the wonderful Sheringham Park and the steam railway.

Our holiday cottages are ideal bases for bird watching, which remains a favourite Norfolk past time particularly in Spring and Autumn. North Norfolk boasts several internationally renowned bird reserves including RSPB Titchwell and Cley-next-the-sea.  Pensthorpe , home of BBC Springwatch is on the edge of Fakenham and for those who fancy something a bit more lively the Fakenham racecourse is also nearby.

Traditional Family favourites include crabbing off the quay at Blakeney or Wells next the sea followed by freshly cooked fish and chips and a pint of locally brewed beer.  The creeks at Morston and Brancaster supply local pubs and restaurants with locally harvested mussels and samphire served along side Cromer Crab and other local fresh produce.

Day trips include hiring cruisers on the Norfolk Broads or take the children to magical Bewilderwood or the dinosaur park for a memorable day out.  For culture and the Arts spend a day in the vibrant city of Norwich or historical Kings Lynn.
