Our Local Area

Cranmer Country Cottages & barns are located on the border between Fakenham and South Creake. We are just off the beaten track in countryside close to the North Norfolk Coast and on the border with West Norfolk; in an area recently dubbed The Royal Norfolk Coast. It is a quiet peaceful area taking in the most beautiful parts of the Norfolk coastline including Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea and the Royal Estate of Sandringham. You will find that there is so much to explore in our local area with many great places within 10 miles of Cranmer Country Cottages. A short break or even a weekly stay may not be long enough to tick off everything on your list!

Cranmer is part of an ancient Pilgrimage route and lies on the Roman Road which runs directly to the coast at Holkham. There are excellent bike rides from our doorstep taking the back roads via North Creake to Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham Bay. The Walsingham & Wells Explorer Loop cycle ride can be picked up from close to Cranmer at North Creake. MORE >>
